Can anyone identify this (I think) cartridge razor? from a Boots "Monogram" gift set.

Lots of pics in coming. I asked the same question elsewhere, so sorry if this the second time you are seeing this.

So, I obtained a shaving gift set. If I'm being honest I got it because of the Boots shaving soap in it.

But it also came with a razor. Does anyone know what it is / if refills are available?

See also the brush, is there an easy way to work out what sort of bristles it has?

Thanks in advance.

Ps, I have seen other posts with attachements where the picture quality is awful. If that's the case, il follow up with pictures in post.

I bought the same set for the soap. I wasnt too impressed with it. Be interested to see what you think.

As for the brush, a brillo pad would be softer.

The wooden box is pretty decent though.

I wondered if there would be anyone else.
Where did you get yours? Il be interested to see if the brush can be broken in. I may try for my own amusement.

Have you had the chance to use boots sticks, or the standard bowl?

Il let you know what I think of the soap when I use it.

Regarding the box, alas, the hinges are bust.

I may repair them, or replace with different hinges, I don't know yet.

Picked mine up from ebay years ago.
I only bought the soap as it had tallow in it. I dont think its the same as what boots sell now as a stick or in the bowl.

Funnily enough I used the soap the other day. The lather dissipted really quickly.
I'll try it a few more times before it becomes shower soap.

Mine didn't come with any kind of ingredients. Do you still Have yours out of interest?

Load more, and hydrate.

The razor is based on the Gillette Contour but the handle is shorter. The soap is likely a Yardley. I've a couple of these sets - a good catch for the soap alone.

Even if it's the regular Boots shaving bowl soap from that period, he's in for a treat! I have several Boots soaps ranging from the 1950s to the 1980s (possibly 1990s?) and they're all great in my estimation.
