Send them back, not fit for purpose. What do I do with three duff cakes? They’re not likely to take them back are they?
Personally, I feel they should be replaced by either Kent or MWF and unless they do so. I’m done with them forever.
I started this thread as a celebration of what I formerly considered to be one of the best shaving soaps regardless of price and certainly the best value considering how hard it is to finish a cake. It just lasts and lasts.
Fat no more?
I’ll be investing in more for certain.Truth be known, I think the Salter hard tallow puck is better. It's too bad more people don't use it as it's probably not going to be around forever.
Given how pot-luck it's been of late, once my current puck and my reserve (good) puck have been depleted I'll be thinking twice about buying more. I've probably got enough soap to last me the rest of my days and much of it is vintage anyway, which I really should enjoy more frequently. Perhaps I should look on my MWF as vintage as guaranteed repeat buying is ... well, not guaranteed.
Shame, as it really is like no other ...
Twelve continuous days and my face has not felt this good since I started traditional shaving when I used it practically daily.
He has replied on the matter before and I'm pretty sure his reply was along the lines that Mitchell's make such vast quantities, even his voice would be a whisper.I think buying it from someone like Paul at Connaught could make sense, maybe he would get back to Mitchell's if their QC isn't up to it?
I used one of those CAKES today as I mentioned earlier in the thread. Should I now try the other CAKES of Kent Wool Fat? Life’s too damn short as is my patience with this tomfoolery. I’m pucking off for a nice CAKE.Have you even tried your new pucks^H^H^H^H^H cakes yet @Gairdner?
Apologies ... I missed that detail. Confirmed dud, yes? I'll update the Virginia Woolfat list.I used one of those CAKES today as I mentioned earlier in the thread. That's disappointing, I have used 3 cakes* of fat over the years and found them creamy and long lasting as they are hard as f@ck.Dud as a dud thing in Dudland.
... but keep in mind that the latest batch number we have between us is known good. Confirmed by @donnie_arko
