British red tip *now with pics* ...

Need help from you DE gurus. Sometimes I get my hands on DE:s when buying straights and I got a few that I use to head shave with (I don´t want to dull my straights to much ).

If a red tip says "Made in England", is it still a regular red tip? I´ll try and take pics later, if that helps...

Depends if there is a Rocket Gap, if there is then it's a Rocket and Ollie will be in touch. If not, it's an English Red Tip Superspeed. Pictures paint a thousand words - get the camera out

It was made just round the corner from me at the beautiful old art deco factory on Gillette Corner, some details of the factory and a nice picture here:

RedTip Rocket my friend

If you check carefully, there is a ring in the knurling before the TTO on the SuperSpeed, this is not the case on the Rockets (yours doesn't have it)
The distance on between the TTO knob and the handle stays the same when you turn a Superspeed, but not the rocket. (if I remember correctly)

that is a rocket indeed bottom knob moves up as you open doors, thats better condition than mine. :twisted:
