Boots shave stick

After throwing two new Erasmic sticks away, I thought I would try a Boots shave stick - since I happened to be in Boots Nice lather and shave, but causes my face to 'burn' slightly for a while. Anyone else have this, or know why it might 'burn'. I have used many other types of soaps and creams without irritation.

Who knows, sometimes you can get used to it or your skin can be sensitive on a particular day. If you like it, I'd give it another try or two before binning it.

I had a similar burn from the Boots soap in a bowl the 1st time I used it, not serious but noticeable. Never had it since though.

I've never got on with the Boots stick either. However it comes in a nice plastic tube, Palmolive and other sticks fit in nicely. Thanks Boots. :mrgreen:

I think this is a good soap for the price and have had no burn from using it.

I have had shaves with it where my skin has been irritated from the moment the lather touched my face but I have also had some very comfortable shaves from it.

Works well for me, but the scent is a little off-putting. Smells a bit "sweaty" to me.
