blue extra and sweedes

The Swedes have platinum hardened edges, whereas the Bleues are just stainless. Maybe the same as the Swedes but without the platinum coating? They are both very good blades but sadly are no longer produced.

Well apart from the Russian produced Bleue Extras that are a shadow of their former greatness and still available in France for about €1.50 for 5. Max sent me some a while back - they were eye-wateringly poor (compared to the NOS ones) and the Russian made Platinums (hanging on the card like the tumshies rather than the blue/white/silver boxes) that are also shite.

True, but I took the presumption that Duncan was referring to the vintage variety.

I've yet to try the modern version of the Bleues, I've got plenty of the vintage ones so no need to. I have tried the modern Platinums and didn't find them too bad, obviously not as good as the Swedes, but then again the Swedes aren't as good as the 1970 Plats that I've got.
