No. This falls under the same category for me as “blooming†soap, adding glycerine and shimming razors; if it doesn't just work without being buggered about with it's not good enough.
Tried it once it ruined the blade so no, once was enough. We just have to accept that out of the millions of blades made eventually you'll get a duff 'un.
