I got a Merkur 42 for my birthday 4 days ago along with some other shaving odds and ends. I have shaved everyday with the Merkur since I got it and it is amazing the difference in quality from the boots DE and wilkinson sword classic I was using ( which I thought were actually pretty good for the price). Maybe its partly the merkur blade that came with it before this I would normally use blades from the supermarket personna or wilkinson sword I don't know. But I do know that for the 1st time ever I have been able to go atg withut soreness, redness and looking like I have skidded down a gravel path on my chin! Maybe everyone feels like this when they get a quality razor, I don't know but it feels pretty damn good!

My Merkur 42 has been my go to razor for a couple of months now , its a great little razor that I really enjoy
