Birth Year Razors - sought & available

I have a question though. If you get a razor that's made in England, how will you know when it was made? The only date code breakdown available is the "US Gillette Dating Information",... England and Canada had their own dating system that didn't coincide with the US codes.

NOS packaging and go by the date code on the blade? Lots of trial and error ...

Nah! I think he meant until one comes up in the UK (perhaps EU). It's a sound point @Johnny Beeblebrox as the British Techs were not coded (only the blades) until later into the 1960s. 1967, was it? With the release of the spiral handle?

One will turn up. I have a few from the 1960s, mostly American. No G2 code, though.

Living in the UK (S. Yorks) so will wait for a UK/EU Tech/Slim to rock up. Am in no particular rush...
Another clarification.
A good condition 1961 G2 Tech or Slim, manufactured in US/UK/whatever (but sold from UK/EU) is what I'm hoping for.
If a "bargain" procured from elsewhere is available I'd also be interested.
The key constraint from non UK/EU seems to be postage and customs duty which tbh I'm not overly concerned about...

Hi all, just found a vintage tech I'm about to clean up a bit and try.

Got me thinking about a birth year razor, any suggestions for '85

Thanks

Looking for 1969 razor, any brand would do!..Pretty please.
Gillette razors from the US have a date code that narrows it down to a quarter of a year. The letter is the year and the number is the qtr, eg O1 is Jan-Mar 69, O2 April-Jun 69 etc. Just saying, if you put a quarter on your post, someone might pop up and say they have it. For example I bought a black handled Flare Tip purely because I saw someone say "how much is this worth as an O2?" I had no need of one, but had been keeping an eye out for an O2 something just because of the birthday thing. I used it today in fact, and will do every so often, just wanted it for the sake of it really though.
