Yeah, I think Gillette stopped razor production and numbering by quarter/year in 1988 (http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/US_Gillette_Dating_Information). Unless there are other manufacturers with accurate dating information you're pretty much out of luck.

Looking for a 1983 (D) which if my research is right would be a Super-Adjustable, black handle Super-Speed or Slim Twist. As always though I am prepared to be corrected.

I recently bowed out of a Super Adjustable on the 'bay that then went for about 3 dollars over my self appointed limit!
