Some rare razors but still...

Only two very rare razors I would say, the bottom dial just doesn't come along and the winner is a new bidder and probably a sniper so it looks more sincere than cynical to me.

Look carefully at the description of this from the same seller.

True the winner looks genuine but look at the guy with 19 feedback, that's a shill bidder if i've ever seen one, if i saw it before the end id have reported it.

I seen that auction being discussed on B&B and of course they don't post links but it was easy to find. It deserved to fetch a good price but I think it went for an excessive price. The Toggle and the 195 aren't cased while that doesn't matter to a shaver grade one the case is a very important item to a collector. If they two were cased then it would have been more worth it but I think someone got carried way.

As for the other Auction, despite it being made of brass I can't comprehend it weighting 20kg (46lbs), if was made of lead it would not weigh this much, surely a mistake?

Just re-read the description I thought the measurement was the case, he is saying the razor alone is 16 inches (40cm) so it is an oversized advert. So I retract my post earlier, 40lbs is possible for something this size, he really should have put something other then a tape measure along side for scale like a normal DE from the other lot.

In the end, somebody decided to pay for it, schill influenced or not but I don't smell the same rat, these are keepers.

Check the B&B thread, an Australian B&B member was prepared to put up $2500 for his collection. The rules about condition just go out the window.

The 195 is interesting, never seen the appeal in toggles ... the one i think most of em are after is the prototype Super Speed.

Interesting yes , desirable oh hell yes ... at that price?

HAH! dream on.

Good grodney, an OC Flare Tip  now I see what you mean, too early in the morning for me. Looking at the big picture it is not quite OC, there is a bar running along the bottom but it is notched, like a sort of hybrid, has to be an engineering sample of some kind.

there's a seller called 'glasgowgoodies' who has caused a few threads on *&*, he has had at least 1 other SS with the same bar, i think that went for $300
