No idea what blade holder that razor came with, but you better hope it's not the cream colored one. I've had lots of cased razors run through my hands over the years, but I've only seen one of those creamy white dispensers. Heh, they're a lot tougher to find than the razor you just bought.
The one in the pics is part of a 1949 superspeed set.....second quarter to be exact (U2). Yeah, the Gillette blades were all coded, even during the time that the razors weren't.
Sometimes the only somewhat reliable way to date a razor is by the blades it came with, and that's not foolproof either.

Maybe not, the later ones that say Aristocrat inside the lid have the cream blade holder. The earlier ones that say safety razor inside the lid have blue blades but in a plated sleeve...........well from what I can see on mr-razor........
