We all know you can lather in any type of bowl. But sometimes it's good to give yourself a treat. I have a Dirtybird scuttle which includes a ridged bowl that works very well.
But I don't use it every day. So I decided to seek out a local potter who could make a lathering bowl to my specification. I wanted a ridged inner bowl large enough to cope with larger brushes and convenient to hold and use. I contacted David Rogers, a studio potter in Milford, and arranged a visit. Here is the result. A great value bowl for just £12 that meets my needs perfectly and delivers great lather every time. As was said elsewhere recently you can often get great value products from your local craftsmen. It's well worth supporting them.
