I have a day in Amsterdamage on my way home. Can anyone point me in the right direction for shops/supermarkets that sell shaving stuff. Shave stuff might not be the first thing on my mind, but I should have time for a bit of shopping.

Tough luck, i think. Holland doesn't have a shaving tradition, so you'll only find multiblade razors and spray cans in supermarkets, besides the ubiquitous vergulde hand. I know of only two specialized shaving shops, one in Leiden and one in Breukelen.

Busy and tired.
Ive got a full time job now, this is my weekend off after doing 7 days in a row.
I had a lovely shave yesterday though before i went over to the GFs, wasnt a quick one before getting ready for work.
How are you Andy?

Im good mate, it's good to see you back.

Just realised I hadn't seen you about for a bit. I can sympathise with the work thing. I only really post on here on days off at the moment.

My days off seem to come then go :shock:
The last one i had an interview on and then the rest of the day was spent with the GF relaxing.
Days off always seem to go way too fast :roll:

Not 'shave related' but this place: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.hajenius.com/homepage.php?taal=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.hajenius.com/homepage.php?taal=en</a><!-- m --> is well worth a visit.

Hajenius.com

Bring back some Ramon Allones Specially Selected and Bolivar Bellicosos.

Hajenius.com.

Indeed. When I still smoked, I went to Hajenius a couple times a year at least. Not for the cigars per se, since you can get quality cigars in most towns in Holland, especially if you prefer the Dutch type of cigar (dry, short filler, Sumatra wrapper leaf) rather than the 'cuban' style (moist, longfiller), but for the atmosphere and peculiarities. They have a small 'museum' in the back, dedicated to tobacco culture in Indonesia, as well as a smoking room, where you can sit and relax, and smoke. You can even, if you really want, bring your own cigars and smoke them there. Tobacco only though ;-)
