Acquisitions - December 2021


My Dscosmetic badger and boar knot arrived today finally! I’ve not set it yet as after being gifted 2 handles I mistakenly believed this to be a handle for a 26mm knot, it looks like it’s more like 28mm! I’m sure it’ll set with enough sealant in the base but it’s not ideal! It is however a good excuse to potentially get another brush made, a 28mm for the handle and 26mm for the knot!
I also have a delightful commission from @Gairdner which is likely going to be the one of the best brushes I own in the looks and head department!
 
Anyone used this safety razor that comes with this kit?

Seems to say yjl on the bottom of it and I think it's this weishi, it's twist to open de razor and seems to look identical @Boycie83 any idea as I remember you seem to know those Chinese razors well as you had a big thread about yours

So I ordered this on ebay, firdt time ever I get a grey slip through the door and I'm like wth this royal mail slip in grey about, flipping wasteman sent it with 'USED STAMPS' yes you read that right, used stamps, so I had to pay the £3.50 postage money but am going to claim it back from ebay or PayPal or whichever, what sort of guy does that though? Wanker lol


 
Generic Chinese TTO used by many rebrands. They shave reasonably well but if you've got one, you've got them all.
 

1912, yes ... 1950s. Aluminium handle came in from 1949 and the case with the clear lid was 1950s, same case as housed the Featherweight incidentally. Nice one!
