Welcome. I assume the short handler Merkur slanted razor is the 37c (duh!). I wish I bought this many years back when I started. I could do with that razor only. Also, I just discovered it not only to be the only razor with which I can use the Polsilver blades (discontinued ), but actually the combo is fantastic (YMMV of course). Keep exploring. Here you will find many knowledgeable people who will be happy to help.

Welcome to TSR .
Good technique will give consistent results. The 37C and Astra SP, GSB or Nacet should be good combinations.
