1921 Bigelow Parkin Co.Folding Safety Razor w/ Pouch

After a fairly bad weekend I opened a few eBay pouches and found that I finally received one of the DE razors that I had been biding on now for more than a few years. I was more surprised that it was in excellent condition ( the leather travel pouch was a little seam tired) . The razor a 1921 Bigelow Parkin Co.Folding Safety Razor w/ Pouch. The companies trade mark is a Diamond with a B-P in the middle of it. A few photos:[attachment=7328]

Used the razor for the 1st time this morning. Feelings about it. I was going to use a vintage blade... But thought that a current one would be a better test. Razor opens easily and the blade is easy to place. The only thing that I noted( hope photo shows it) is that the edge does show quite a bit.
Used TOBS St James. WTG was comparable to a Gillette Superspeed. ATG ... While not harsh, you did know that the blade was there. No burn or nicks but did feel that I had to be more careful with it. It may have been because of my unfamiliarity with the handle. Shave with only a WTG and ATG would be acceptable for work.
Would I use it everyday... Could, but a gillette handle does give you better control. It would serve as a travel razor that you could (in the past) just carry in your jacket inside pocket. Again, quality for a razor that was probably just given out as advertisement for stores is excellent.
