I am very sorry to hear that. I hope that your extraction solves your problem. Toothache can be horrible.Yes, but it is not a permanent solution as teeth, like automobiles, are not self sustaining when there are problems. NSAID's merely "cloak" the real issue. That said I am going to my dentist tomorrow for an extraction on a root canal performed in 2011 by an another (incompetent hack) dentist. It went "nuclear" these past few days after round 1 of short term antibiotics which did not work completely. The pain is beyond NSAID'S to be frank and I started another antibiotic today.
I was under the same dentist for nearly 14 years, after finally plucking up the courage to see him when I was in my teens. He retired in 2004, but I have not been able to find a new dentist since then. He was very good at his job, though thankfully I never needed anything major done to my teeth. He used to tell me that I looked after my teeth very well, unlike a lot of his other patients. I always regarded that as a great compliment.
Good luck at the dentists' anyway.
