What are you listening to?

I'll stick the link on, I absolutely love it..
Bangin' - the Sleaford Mods were my 'new find' of the year. Big and clever - the perfect antidote to Insta-vacuousness and Z Factor fuck-piggery. It amuses me that Jason Williamson is only two years younger than me. There's hope for us all yet! If you print the lyrics out - they read like poetry - John Cooper Clarke poetry. Dead dandelions and bumble bees........ I.

Oh, 2 more outstanding phrases I need to record in my (fictional) Compendium of TSR Gold! Your opinion of mass market 'entertainment' clearly aligns with mine! Now to commit same to memory for passing judgment on music I'm likely to be exposed to over the coming week!

Terry Hall and Mike Hodges in one week. The latter observed by the BBC World Service - good obit. - Get Carter obviously but I had forgotten that he directed the 1980 version of Flash Gordon. I remember seeing it in the cinema at the time - obviously too young to realise it is as camp as a row of camp things. Pink camp things. Gordon's Alive! No danger. :) - I.

I completely missed this story, Iain. Just read his obituary. Love Get Carter - one of my favourite films. The Roy Budd soundtrack isnt too shabby neither :)
