Just remember, we have to make mistakes to learn P.Saturday 8th - New everything!
Fuar Ach Snog
Yaqi Brush
Goodfellas Smile Pino Alpestre Soap
Rex Envoy (purchased via the forum!)
Gillette Permasharp Yellow
Fine Snakebite
Myrsol Emulsion
Not a great shave, because I changed many variables at once and made some mistakes.
This was my first time shaving with a soap rather than a cream and the lather I produced was inadequate and thin. I should have tried again with a familiar cream, but I was in a rush lesson learned.
The Gillette's are slightly sharper blades that I decided to use in my R106 for extra efficiency. Given that the Envoy is a slightly more aggressive razor, I should have stuck to the personnas for a while. Also less pressure probably needed.
I got bit slightly a couple of times and had some irritation, but lessons learned for next time.
Stick with a familiar cream for now. Personna blades until I grow accustomed to the Envoy.
Always shave at night when I can take my time.
Certainly no disaster, but a reminder that I have much to learn!
It truly is a wonderful soap and you will be even more impressed at how long that tub will last you, a little soap goes a long way P.First ever shave today with Martin de Candre, very impressed.

It's actually remarkable value considering it will last a number of years in a rotationIt truly is a wonderful soap and you will be even more impressed at how long that tub will last you, a little soap goes a long way P.
Indeed, I record every time I use my MdC soaps and after 26 uses of my original the soap level has dropped by 4.5mm in the tub! Outstanding!!! P.It's actually remarkable value considering it will last a number of years in a rotation
For twenty pounds, it's a well made brush and at that cost for a Simpson its worth it, certainly a decent brush to start out with or as an addition to your kit. Enjoy.I've just ordered a T3, how's it working out for you m8?

One thing my kit is light on is brushes, so looking forward to using it next week. CheersFor twenty pounds, it's a well made brush and at that cost for a Simpson its worth it, certainly a decent brush to start out with or as an addition to your kit. Enjoy.
That's far too much effort for me m8 but it's good to know it has some excellent longevity. CheersIndeed, I record every time I use my MdC soaps and after 26 uses of my original the soap level has dropped by 4.5mm in the tub! Outstanding!!! P.
