You could break in a stiff boar brush with that bowl, five uses I recon! :Wednesday 11th July
Pears Glycerine Soap
Proraso Sandalwood Pre Shave Cream
TOBS Sandalwood Soap
Omega 10098 Boar Brush
Steve Woodhead Suribachi Bowl
Q-Shave Futur Clone (3.5, 4.5, 5.5) with a Treet Silver Carbon Steel Blade
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
GFT Sandalwood Skin Food
TOBS Sandalwood Cologne
Javanol (Molecule 04) EDP
A few firsts today. Many thanks to Kevin ( @Boru62 ) for supplying a sample of TOBS Sandalwood Soap. The TOBS version of Sandalwood has be be one of my favourite Sandalwood scents. This was also the first use of the Suribachi bowl. I bought it over a year ago but never used it. To be honest the suribachi pattern looks brutal and I had concerns about brush wear and tear.......but it can certainly produce a lather! I have quite a few more shaves left from the sample provided....but for my own peace of mind.....I will only use brushes which are cheap and easily replaceable. The Q-Shave is new and performs as well as the Ming Shi....it just looks cool in Black!
Three passes for a lovely smooth and fragrant shave. Time to get in a few beers and a chilled out evening

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney 3/3 Ivory Finest (26/60)
Mohawk Brush Company shaving soap (tallow)
Charcoal Goods Brass Level 1/Triad Aristocrat Brass
Personna Super Stainless (3)
Yardley English Lavender aftershave (vintage)
The Mohawk soap, which has lost all its fragrance, made moderately rich and slick lather, good but not great. The puck is quite narrow, and it bounced around in the bottom of the mug, so I ended up holding it in my hand to load the brush.
