A Red Day and Trial.
After using the Chinese AC blade earlier in the week in the Feather clone I decided to try it in the ever reliable and smooth RR Hawk, just to see what it was like in a Razor.
Also, new up and 1st time use is my Proraso Red soap bowl, purchased for £3.60 for 150ml with a discount code and the Proraso Red A/S Splash.
The Omega gets another chance at lathering as I really want to find a soap it works with.
Following my normal pre shave routine I managed to pick up plenty of soap on the soft brush, this then mixed up a great lather in the bowl, it took a little longer than normal, however, what a lather it is and plenty of it. Its good stuff this Proraso.
On the chin it went and up stepped the Silver Hawk loaded with the Chinese AC, it was quite smooth for the WTG pass, no issues to report, the lather giving a nice cushion, the XTG pass felt less smooth although not tugging I knew it was cutting, The ATG pass struggled a bit. Its not the sharpest blade or the smoothest but it did get the job done. I have decided that 3 shaves is enough for this one, considering they were free with the clone its not bad.
Pre shave as normal using the Proraso post shave and Aftershave, I could not help but give my face a rub with the Bart's Sandalwood A/S lotion.
I noticed a few small bumps on my left cheek, a bit like under the skin spots, I have not seen that before and will keep an eye on it.
So a nice run out for the Hawk, I have found a soap that the Omega can work with and I really like it.
Not quite BBS but a very acceptable finish, feeling & smelling good due to the Proraso Red Splash.
The Clone will get a run out with a better blade to see if it helps my shave.
Have a great weekend All
