Greetings,
A new shave set up to start the second saturday of 2020.
I've practically used the same set up i used last saturday, the only difference ommiting the Gillette Guard SE cartridge razor, returning back to my de razor & blade combo.
Out of all the proraso soaps i have i personally find the white has the best slickness,it also has the most unique clean fresh smell it's funny how scent is truly a subjective YMMV thing. It's also been a while since i last added the assertive Muhle R41 to my razor rotation, which has a reputation of been overly aggressive and a beast to master.
Personally i cannot fault this razor, aggressive is the wrong word to use when describing the Muhle R41,IMHO it's more 'assertively designed' to get the job done perfectly, without multiple shaving passes which can cause skin irritation. For most people 2 passes with this assertive frauline will be enough resulting in a silky smooth shave. As for myself my 'rhino skin type' normally needs 3 + a pick up pass for sublime results, plus i like to use up the lather with my shaves.
I also find pairing it up with a non-aggressive blade results in irritation-free comfortable shaves... Good technique, preparation & Shaving Confidence lightest of touch and most importantly Giving this assertive frauline the upmost respect..'as with any razor', she will reward you with sublime shaves.
A very enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups bbs shave with no errors to report.
Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Creightons ~ Sensitive PSB.
My face is feeling super smooth and smelling devine.
Enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.
