Another day another new to me French soap and this time it's one I've purchased and it didn't come cheap.
Okay it did, very cheap in fact, £2.20 for 125g.
Okay, okay I had to buy some other things to make the postage worthwhile and I'd never eaten Rillettes before so what the hell! As I always say: in for some soap in for some slow cooked shredded meat.
Okay, okay, okay, I've never said that before in my life but you get the idea.
Well I'm very impressed with the soap and the Rillettes are delicious so money well spent, a face well shaved and a palate delighted.
Talking of money well spent, the Epsilon ASL is very nice indeed, thanks for the tip @Blackmass

Pre-shave: Warm shower face wash, Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by Proraso (White) Sensitive Skin Green Tea Pre And Post Shave Cream.
Cream: Musgo Real Lavender.
Brush: Muhle Purist, Black Silvertip Fibre Shaving Brush.
Bowl: Aesop.
Razor: Blackland Dart.
Blade: Astra SP (Green) (Day 1).
Post: Cold water splash and Myrsol Baslamic Water, followed by Body Shop Aloe Vera Gel, finished off with Musgo Real No.4 Lavender Cologne.
A very smooth shave today; I don't know if that was down to the Proraso White Pre-shave Cream or the Astra SP blade. The Astra felt great in the Dart - notably smoother than the Wilkinson Sword (yesterday) and the KAI SS (Monday), so my money is on the Astra .
A three pass shave: WTG, XTG and ATG with no issues to report and a BBS - / DFS + finish. Gentle tingle when I applied the Myrsol.
I think the Dart has the makings of a classic razor, with the right blade. As ever YMMV.
All the best,
Chris
