I'm giving this Jovan Musk scented attar another go today. I popped it on before bed last night in the hope of fully identifiying all the elements upon waking, but it didn't happen. There's something ... well, missing? Maybe it's the "sex appeal" that was only bottled in the 1970s.
AB Scents Black Bakhoor ... in the same ballpark as a couple of others that I have (Festimusk & Krishna Musk), all have a deep woody darkness of musk and cedar, mild vanilla and orris, sandalwood and just detecting patchouli, and this one all of that over incense. There's something else, too, a very light fruitiness coming through. Lovely!
An old school classic.
This new version isn't exactly identical to the original Shulton blend but it still creates that nostalgic throwback and puts a silly smile on my face.
