I now need to get my straights honed, I'm not sure they'll be back by the end of January though.
I don't think mines an FB - it's got a curved bottom.Flat Bottom = FB.
Vintage blades might be a problem for most.
Just having turned 60 am I classed as vintage?
So to partake in @Boycie83 and his 'Vintage January' here is my first offering

I can't be bothered to churn my usual rubbish out as that will appear on my SOTD. But a super shave and happy to be an old twat
Depending on the definition of 'vintage' I reckon a fair few, here, could do several (different) vintage shaves from start to finish - brush, soap, razor, blade and aftershave. I don't shave as often as I did, given the pandemic work from home, but I'll risk the cut-off and also include some venerable cartridge razors and their vintage bladesVintage Month is on - a challenge set by @Tony'schin
My plan for this is to use each of my vintage razors and use vintage blades where possible. The razors I'll be using are:
NB: I no longer have the Rolls Razor.

Show us your vintage ladies! There's always a lot of talk regarding the young and sexy razors of modern artisans but not much talk about the matures in our dens. Here's mine: 30s Gillette Old Type Gillette New LC 40s Gillette Tech 1958 Gillette Superspeed Flare Tip 1960 Gillette Fatboy 1967...www.theshavingroom.co.uk
Flat compared to Raised Flat Bottom or the regular stamped diamond shape.I don't think mines an FB - it's got a curved bottom.
I agree with the vintage blades - that's just my own bit I'm putting in there.
Stop the bus! I've just realised FB means flat bottom plate, not flat bottom handle.Flat compared to Raised Flat Bottom or the regular stamped diamond shape.
2nd from left
Stop the bus! I've just realised FB means flat bottom plate, not flat bottom handle...
No, unfortunately.Stop the bus! I've just realised FB means flat bottom plate, not flat bottom handle.
Yes, I now realise mine is a flat bottom - second on left as you've pointed out. Does this help date it any easier?

And a big fat boar knot in that groovy brush handle!Haha! Good lad!
You still need a grot through your Mrs' nail varnishes for the right shade to just touch in the old hinge cover.
Not a big fan of piggies, I believe the vintage Vulfix i have is a boar (pure bristle) although it acts like a high end badger. And a big fat boar knot in that groovy brush handle!
Well OK then, if you just have to have one that YOU like. Not a big fan of piggies, I believe the vintage Vulfix i have is a boar (pure bristle) although it acts like a high end badger.
This knot was fitted on my request and I do like it.
