Vintage Month is on - a challenge set by @Tony'schin

My plan for this is to use each of my vintage razors and use vintage blades where possible. The razors I'll be using are:
  • 30s Gillette Old Type
  • Gillette New LC
  • 40s Gillette Tech
  • 1958 Gillette Superspeed Flare Tip
  • 1960 Gillette Fatboy
  • 1967 Gillette Slim
  • 1967 Gillette Aristocrat Slim
  • 1978 Gillette SA Black Beauty
  • Ever Ready 1912
  • Schick Type E
  • Schick Type L
  • Schick Type M Adjustable
NB: I no longer have the Rolls Razor.

A great shave. The Fatboy and NOS Gillette blade were a smooth pairing and my first time using a B&M soap was also a success. No burning, just a super slick and great smelling lather. A good start to 2021.

Wow you have far to much gear.
i only have 5 razors and i struggle to say what will i use today. i do fancy going down the vintage route but maybe just one or 2 maybe 3 lol .
Truthfully i never want to get to that stage because i'm at that stage with sops and it's starting to annoy me.
Anyway best of luck with the vintage shaves i'll look forward to your next

I'm at peace with my large razor collection. I enjoy owning them and they won't spoil over time like my software will. It's sometimes I'm content to keep adding to.

They didn't make OLD types in the '30's.

"40's Tech" from which side of '45? Or is it a FB?

What's the date code on the '58 Super Speed?

Every month is vintage month for me! ;)

Rock on man!

I have enough vintage razors, excluding straights, to be able to use a different one, daily and once only, for about 2 months, but the vintage blades are a bit of a problem. I'd better check out my Empire 7 day, I think I have some Wardonias somewhere, and the Valets and Rolls might do. Off to the Razor Repository for a quick inventory check.

A modest collection compared to @pjgh 's, but my excuse is that I've swapped targets from vintage razors to Leica lenses over the last year or two, whilst still buying new razors. Not a "rabbit hole" in my case, but a whole Watership Down, full of warrens.

Well spotted. I copied and pasted that list and I think you've picked me up on that before. It should read '20s Old and '30s New LC.

There's no date code on the Flare Tip bit it's an English 'Series' II.

I arrived at 1946 for the Tech based on the information from Mr Razor. It came with its bakelite box and blade holders:
