On Sunday I took a 25 minute drive to see my buddy who I have known for almost 60 years, us meeting with my age being 10-11. Hah, we did Boy Scouts and were 15 year old ushers at the same theater and when older did the same kinda drugs. For many years in the past Bob was a best friend before we sorta drifted apart over the years.
It's better to just go over there since he usually won't answer his phone for whatever reason. Saw his wife, who I have known since 1965 or so, and she told me about him being on the way out and soon I guess. Cripes, the guy's my last link to that earlier part of my life. Nobody else around.
He was sleeping at 11am and I didn't wanna push things so I asked his wife to help him be available for a visit so we will see. Sheeesh, we shared some fairly crazy shit when much younger and later when hardly anyone died after a while. Hopefully I will hear something by Friday knowing I do not wanna miss seeing him. Gotta admit being a tad spooked him not being around soon. One more good schmooze would be appreciated.
So TSR forum was where I ended up, after sampling many others before hand. Yeah, some golden years here for a while. Anyone mention combining the two Limey forums, or is that very dumb or out of line?
