A bad case of RAD.
Loving my timeless but didn't want to take it on holiday. So on my last break I took Grandad's old Gillette, which shaves me very nicely.
As Sconehead said in a previous post the old Gillette's can be very good. Turns out it's a 1930s New with the fat handle, something of a classic.
But I don't want to risk losing Grandad's so the obvious solution is to buy another for travelling.

Lost out on an unused one on eBay then ended up on Etsy where an outfit called “back roads gold” specialise in taking the exact same razor, shot blasting it and then coating it in 24ct gold.

Well it was clearly meant to be! The only caveat being that I'm not sure Grandad would have approved.

At this point I really should have left Etsy but I wondered what else they had and well - next thing I see is 1961 G2 fatboy. Not only birth year but birth quarter. Immaculate in its original box. Rude not to.

Which now just leaves me wondering why the USPS is so xxxxxxx slow, I want them NOW!!

A Gillette New LC Single Ring refashioned by Cooncat Bob (Bob's Razor Works) with a burl wood handle, along with another extra burl handle from him, are coming. I'm not sure if I'll keep both handles.
