The Plisson really is way too large in loft for me, but it is sooo luxurious. The Weber, in contrast to the ease of my Wolfman, Paradigm, and Raw razors, makes me use pressure and work moderately hard to get a BBS shave.

Soap/Cream:- TOBS Eton College cream
Razor/Blade:- Gillette Fatboy F1 Setting 7 / Gillette 7 o'clock Green Super Stainless
Post-shave:- Thayers Cucumber / Floid Mentolado Vigoroso aftershave

I skipped shaving yesterday and was looking forward to removing 2 days growth tonight.

Looking through my armoury I chose the Gillette Fatboy which was still loaded with a relatively fresh 7 O'clock Green blade. Now that I'm rotating my weapons on a regular basis I really need to count how many shaves I'm getting from each blade. Either that or I just forget about it and keep going until the blade starts tugging...but I'll decide sooner or later which method best suits.

As usual the TOBS Eton College cream lathered up easily. A fresh clean scent. Nothing mind blowing. Just clean with a slight sweetness. It always gives a good cushion and glide.

I chose setting 7 on the Fatboy and it really worked well for me tonight. Each of my 3 passes gradually reduced my stubble to BBS in no time. I had a few pickups on my neck, but again these were simple and effortless.

Cleaning up and rinsing off I could tell this was a good shave. No irritation or uncomfortable feeling. Splashing on the Floid had that really enjoyable feeling as my skin lit up. Fresh, smooth then cold. Beaming from ear to ear with the Floid scent. No need for any balm tonight.

I'll give this shave a 9 out if 10.

Shaving recipe for today.


Prep: Hot shower:/ L'OREAL ~ Mountain Water Shower Gel.


Pre:

cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Lemon Flower Soap.

Brush: Fine ~ 24mm Synthetic.

Bowl Lather.

Soap : Proraso ~ Sandalwood.+ 5 drops of glycerin.

Blade: Super-Max~ Dollar Platinum.(4)

Razor: Parker 94R.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Proraso ~ Sandalwood & Shea Oil ASL.

L'OREAL~ Soothing Birch Sap Post Shave Balm.

Another early morning shave,


It's been a long time since i last used the proraso sandalwood duo, out of the three proraso soaps i have in my shaving arsenal the sandalwood for me personally is the one that lacks in slickness slightly'YMMV' but, i find the addition of the glycerin makes this soap a joy to use, and adds extra slickness when mixing up a lather.

Second use of Parker 94R since it's welcoming return,last outing of the super-max dollar platinum blade which paired together superbly with the 94R making another very efficient duo.The super-max d.p. blades are another wonderful example of indian made de blades, i've two pucks of Euromax platinum blades, which where thrown in with a recent shaving soap job lot buy from ebay..I'll be giving them a try out in my future SOTD's.


I forgot how much audio feedback you get when shaving with the 94R, the hefty weight of this indian princess adds to it's wonderful efficiency.

Another comfortable cold water 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of L'OREAL~ Soothing Birch Sap Post Shave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Superb shave today. The MÜHLE R101 provided the closest of shaves, with the first pass almost good enough, and the second squeaky smooth. The MWF was instrumental in lubricating the way for the razor so that it didn't bite or catch.
