SOTD : Saturday 30th March - Friday 5th April. 2019.

Cold water rinse
Da Vinci 293 Silvertip 22MM
R41 V3 on EJ Chatsworth handle
KAI SS blade
Boellis Panama 1924 DAYTONA shaving cream sample
Myrsol Plastic Shave AS sample
The Great British Grooming Co. beard balm as hair pomade
Aramis Tuscany EdT

The blade feel with the KAI was huge! This blade seems to be wider than the standard, so that its blade exposure is increased. Many claim that this one isn't as sharp as a Feather, but given the R41, there simply isn't an increase in efficiency possible. The skin is literally 'squeaking' when you touch it.

The Daytona shave cream has a very pleasant scent and it performed in every matter very good. I will for shure buy it, but unfortunately no one except the Italians seem to stock it, and their delivery costs are crazy (20 GBP!).

And if you wannt to really test a blade or a cream/soap, use an aggressive razor like the R41 beast, period.

Soap: Tallow & Steel Merchandise 7x
Brush: Semogue 830
Razor: Wade & Butcher 13/16 Full Hollow Square Tip
Post: BBA Balm
EDT: Issey Myake L'eau D'issey

I have read reports of this soap reacting with some people and I must confess I too had a tingling sensation once applied. I did not give in though because the lather was perfect for my straight shave.
I enjoy a boar brush from time to time and this one didn't disappoint. Great soap retention for such a little brush and not too much scritch.
My first use with this freshly honed razor and I am over the moon with it. It has a substantial spine and the weight really assists the shave.
I am certainly heading towards the larger profiled blades, I personally find them much better balanced and with the lightest of touches provide a superb BBS shave.

Enjoy yours!
:)

Cyril Salter /Maseto ED. 2 Band
L`Occitane Cade soap
ER 1912- ex Bathroom Set
Gem S/S [ 3 ]
Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

Today I had a really enjoyable Shave with what I consider to be the best of my ER 1912 Razors. This one from a Bathroom Set has a nice round Aluminium handle which fits nicely in the hand, and the head seems to have been designed for use with the current Gem blade. As a result the Razor shaves vey smoothly with none of the blade chatter associated with older 1912s, a nice close all round finish being attained with no problems.

I like the grippy handles of the Bathroom Set. Smashing razors.

At the challenge of @Digimonkey a while back, I attempted a face freeze challenge: Proraso M&E preshave, Proraso M&E soap (with a little of the cream), Proraso M&E after shave...and some Alcolado Glacial to finish.

I imagine (that's) what being Botoxed feels like...

Ha ha - yes - menthol challenges tend to get quite silly very quickly - my ne plus ultra ended up being - P&B Denali - (@RussellR5555 - you could swap this out - its tallow - for MT Mint Ice Menthol) - aftershave a mixture - half and half - of Mentally Vigorous and Alcolado Glacial - finished off with Vifrex gel. Cold water - natch. Chilly and no mistake. My face - my face! I can't feel my face! - I.

Ah, yes...I remember you passing some Denali over here. Very cool stuff.

Wow - what a great soap!

That's a lovely find! I reckon they date from the 1950s. @mpf9ret will possibly clarify. This is my one. When I got it, the Sellotape was still intact and you can still smell the lubricant on the Corrux blades. I'm sure it hadn't been used. In fact, there were still minute loose pieces of aluminium in between the grooves of the handle; like it had been made the day before.

Cold Water Shave
Pears Glycerine Soap
Vitos Pre Shave Cream
The Body Shop Shaving Cream/Croap (Vintage)
Omega S10081 Synthetic Brush
Weishi V2 Adjustable (5,6,6) with an Astra SP
Alum and Rinse
Simple Facial Toner
Dove Moisturiser
Brut Splash

The Body Shop cream is so old....its more like a Croap. I think it is from probably 3 formulations ago.....and it works just fine. I am finding the cold water shave to be really good. 3 passes for a lovely shave.
