The brush and soap applied a superb, slick lather, and the razor and blade wiped it, and the stubble, away. I'm liking the Gillette Silver Blue more and more, it feels smooth and sharp in every razor it's been tried in. A great start to Saturday.
 
A 2 pass WTG SOTD, didn't do anymore as going for a full Turkish head & face pampering session on Monday.

The scent of the soap to me is bloody lovely, like a chocolate ice-cream. Never used a soap from Oleo, boy it needs water. The balm has a nice Chocolate scent & then boom the menthol kicks in. No staining of the Tuxedo tips, a little more effort than normal cleaning the sink out, but no big issue.

I've always been suitably impressed by the ingenious Micromatic mechanism. Also imagine how much a modern equivalent would cost.

Brush:- RazoRock Plissoft Synth. 24/57mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Arko (4 shaving sticks grated into a 250ml plastic tub)
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Razor/Blade:- Gillette Rocket HD500 made in England 1950's / Vintage NOS England Wilkinson Sword #10
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / WAHL Bay Rum Aftershave Splash
Fragrance:- L'Eau Bleue D'issey Pour Homme

12 days to go for the whole month of Arko February shave.
 
I got up late today, so I only had literally 10 mins to shave. (and I'm not that type of person that uses the word literally, literally in every sentence) So I did what I could in 1 pass. I know I know.... Shameful... (I hang my head in shame) So here's what I used.
Pre-shave: Nuage Shaving Oil with Menthol.
Shaving Brush: Bodyshop Synthetic (pre face-lift)
Razor: "The New Wilkinson Sword Classic"
Blade: Blue Beards Revenge.
Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Indian Sandlewood.
Post Shave: Nivea Men 2 Phase Aftershave Lotion.

And I did it all in just under 10 minutes.

Fragrance: Floris Jermyn Street

A fine, smooth shave with the Astra—leaving a BBS result. This was a nice change after my experience with Voskhods earlier in the week: although they left a nice finish, they were rough during the process. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

You really should try the Palmers Cocoa Butter standard version. Lovely Chocolate scent which fades in an appropriate time. Good stuff and cheap as chips.

Soap: Chiseled Face - Trade Winds
Bowl: Korium
Brush: Rooney Silvertip
Post shave: Alum block, cold water splash and Thayers witch hazel
AS: Lab Series balm

This is about the 5th shave with Blackland Dart, not been counting properly as life has been a bit hectic over the past few weeks. I have to say this is an excellent razor, I am getting perfect 2 pass shaves every time. Picked the Dart and the Chiseled Face soap up while I was in the US. Very impressed with the performance of the soap, scent is OK.
