Scent of The Day

Tabac Original Aftershave Lotion

I've reached the end of the bottle now, but I've made up my mind that I won't be replacing it. The scent had completely disappeared within about half an hour of putting it on, and it does seem much weaker than it used to be. It only cost me £15 from Boots, but it's still a waste of money. It didn't soothe my skin after my shave, either, so there was absolutely no point to it at all.

Sorry to all of you Tabac lovers, but it is a shadow of its former self, and I'll be sticking to other aftershaves/EDTs from now on. I just cannot justify buying this anymore. I do like it, but the poor longevity and weak potency of it is atrocious.

R.I.P Tabac.

Al Aneeq Fakhrul Oudh

Top notes are Saffron, Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha and Nutmeg; middle notes are Guaiac Wood, Sandalwood, Gurjan balsam, Patchouli, Jasmine and Cedar; base notes are Vanilla, Amber, Musk and Tonka Bean.

Leathery and oily ... just lightened with the vanilla, but absolutely remaining masculine. To my mind, this is a very clever oriental interpretation of '70s strength leather scents. Think Bvlgari Black ... but with a pair. Quite a lot in common with Puig Quorum Silver, actually.
