Not only can this aid in the drying time but it also helps to break it in and become softer over time.*

That is the ideal solution!!
They have a flat bottom for a reason, gravity plays no part in drying, moisture wicks into the hair regardless of orientation.I use a brush holder and I have the brush upside down to speed up drying. Done overnight. Perhaps the main problem is having the brush right side up...
