Frederick Theak used to do very good braces along with dress shirts etc, but sadly went by the wayside quite some time ago. I believe that the felt (city style) braces have been previously mentioned, but lacking in style I believe. I have seen some armed services dress style braces, which one would think would be reasonable quality and they are being offered at a reasonable price, but some of the samples being offered both in the UK and USA are quite expensive in my opinion at around £80.00/£100.00 approximately.
As we are aware most formal trousers are tailored and look at their best when combined with braces, albeit many people these days would not consider wearing them apart from where extreme formal wear is required. As I understand the classic white moire braces as worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale and Skyfall were provided by Albert Thurston; these are at the high end of evening dress style and probably not suitable for normal evening or day wear. Any views on button style would be much appreciated.
