Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Orange Chill + TGS Orange Empire
This is the only one out of many Stirling Soaps I have that the scent is gone...I still remember the awesome fizzy orangy scent. The lather however is still one of the best...richly creamy and very slick with a slight cooling sensation...
Using this razor paired with the blade was just so easy, ultra-smooth, effortless, and more efficient than any true straights I owned, sigh...how to get an edge like this...3passes for a dfs+ result without any issues... it's just awesome! The aftershaves were terrific and the AS scent was much better.

Prep: Palmolive Olive Oil Soap
Soap: Wars Cream
Brush: 24mm Boti Boss knot
Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Dorco Titsn (2)
Post: Wars ASL

My Wednesday - Friday setup whilst away. Lovely shave with the Tech and the Wars never disappoints.
I spent a chilly night in Plymouth yesterday without incident. Obviously word of my derogatory comments about Devon to @Boycie83 haven't reached the general population. Although possibly that's because most of them seemed to be too busy ragging their Peugeot 207's with drilled exhausts around town or trying to pull 14 year old girls in the shelter on The Hoe  ;)

Decent shave this morning, picked up the lea stick on the cheap and you seemingly can't go wrong, quick and easy lather with no fuss and an inoffensive scent. I'm looking for a decent robust soap that'll hold up to different water types for some upcoming travels, fingers crossed this might do the trick.

Hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Marc

Wednesday 30th March

Soap - Tabac
Brush - Simpson Trafalgar T3
Razor 1 - Univinlions
Blade 1 - Schick Proline P (1)
Razor 2 - Timeless 0.68 SS Scalloped
Blade 2 - Gillette Platinum (4)?
Post - Boots No7 Balm

Well, that was an experience I don't want to repeat.
Good prep and a steady hand, and I still managed to slice my face open. Not to mention the uncomfortable dragging and soreness.
Shavette shaving isn't for me, and that is finally that.
Timeless to the rescue. With a light touch I was able to tidy up for a passable finish.
I recommend Boots No7 Balm for when you've had a rough shave. It goes on easy and calms the skin quickly.

My Ikon Deluxe has been sitting in the reject draw unjustly. Checking back on my old SOTDs I found most shaves with Personna med preps and Feather Hi-Stainless blades were considered excellent. What a great resource The Shaving Room is. Today’s shave was… excellent, close and very comfortable, no doubt helped by the wonderful lather provided by the soap and brush. Good stuff.

My Retirement Day, :giggle:
so it would have been my last working day shave, if i had not been off with Covid, still testing positive this morning?
Anyway:-

Pre - Shower
Brush - Simpson Chubby 2
Soap - Stirling Soap co. Sandalwood
Razor - Blackland ERA #3
Blade - Gillette Perma - sharp
Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm - Proraso Red
A/S - Proraso Red
Wk13 (6).JPG
That was a great shave, which is easily as close as the SS Karve C from yesterday, do i just need a bit more time with the #3 plate to dial it in? If i can get this level of finish consistently i will be a very happy shaver.
Really smooth 3 passes leaving me very comfortable and BBS without issue, cannot ask for much more than that.
