There is something about using a Vintage razor that really puts a smile on my face. The first use of the Valet VC1 and of a de-spined blade, i found the shave quite mild, granted, i am am still trying to find the optimum angle, however, today was not about the finish.
I had a great lather from the MWF and big Horsey Yaqi and the 3 passes went well.
A wonderful post shave routine starting with no indication from the Alum stone and the Barts products doing their thing, i am soft and supple, smelling really good with a DFS finish.
I really enjoyed that.
Enjoy your day All.

P & B Citra Royale
Occams -Hiram + No2 Plate ex Oren
Feather Pro [ 2 ]
Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

With the borrowed No2 plate the Hiram is excellent. The Shave smooth and comfortable and I had no problems getting a Top Quality close all round finish. Will eventually try it wth a No3 plate.

SOTD 01/23/20

First of all, my apologies for the delayed posting. Every 6 months I have a medical procedure that knocks me out. I shaved early and quickly this morning, but needed to leave for the procedure and didn't get the chance to post anything after snapping the photo! The shave was good; the LaResche 77 delivered the goods for a decent DFS all around, both face and noggin. Really like this Soap Commander's Barbershop scent. But I'm exhausted, so will keep it brief. I left feeling clean, smooth and refreshed! Returned home feeling like I was hit by a Mack truck.

RAZOR: LaResche 77
BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA's Preshave Cube Soap
BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
SOAP: Soap Commander Honor
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Ogallala Bay Rum/ Sandalwood AS Splash

Thursday 23rd January

Pre ~ Hot bath / Wright's Coal Tar Soap
Soap ~ Signature Soaps Coria (Sample)
Brush ~ YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Bowl ~ 3D Printed Bowl
Razor ~ Rockwell 6C R4
Blade ~ Gillette Platinum (2)
Post ~ Superdrug Forest Fresh ASL

A relaxing bath and shave to unwind from work
The bathroom filled with the aroma of Wright's Coal Tar Soap, I pressed a small amount of Signature Coria soap into the bottom of my 3D bowl and it lathered up a treat. This very generous sample pot must have another 20 shaves worth of soap remaining - a very small amount makes more than enough lather for three passes.
The 6C/GP pairing made short work of two days whiskers, with no errors to report
Finished with Forest Fresh ASL - good value aftershave for very little money IMO
