Hi @WilcoRoos, what was the issue with the Kai blade, i have got 30 to go at but have not tried them yet, they did come highly recommended.
cheers
Combined with the Piccolo Open Comb it is just not a friendly pair, i am used to the Piccolo being fast, smooth and a little bit feisty when you give to much pressure or a wrong angle, lets say the good side of efficient, with the Kay it feels raw and rough, just plain ugly. I am used to Lord Classics and Rapira Platinum Lux in the Piccolo OC, this feels a lot like strapping a Feather in it, i rather use those on the milder SR's i own, as Feather makes for example the R89 a real nice shaver. I also hear a lot of good about the Kai, so it can also be just personal taste, but i want a smooth shave, not a wrestle with a chainsaw.

The weekend was hectic but today I found the time to get a nice though short shave in. With a few days growth I called upon the beast to dispatch my whiskers in an efficient fashion. Always amazed at how good this razor is and how close a two pass shave can be. Loaded up with a Polsilver IR and this combo is hard to beat.

Soap of the day was RazoRock Black Bay which is a favourite of mine. Finished off with the matching AS and some Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense.

Lovely two pass shave and a DFS was achieved. Just an amazing shave with an amazing razor. Have a Karve Christopher Bradley in bound which I will be comparing to the Muhle R41. More on that later. Happy shaves all!

Body Shop Maca Root Cream
Rockwell 6C R4
Voskhod
Proraso Green ASL

I finally broke free of the spell of my Timeless 0.68 and used a different razor tonight.
The 6C/Voskhod pairing worked impeccably, as did the Maca Root Cream.
Finished with Proraso Menthol & Eucalyptus.
Refreshed amd smooth faced once more.

Soap - Musgo Real Classic -- Portugal
ASB - Nivea Men -- German
AS - Floïd Suave -- Spain

Today's shave is international in effort. You'll see many countries covered above but I didn't want our other brethren feeling left out. For international inclusion in the photo you will see some scotch for the extreme northerners, a Yankee candle for our chums across the pond (let's not get hung up on the details of where these candles are made) and a potato for our Irish brethren (I'm working on the assumption that's not insulting! Let's also not get hung up on the fact that potato is actually from Somerset).

Anyway, on to the shave. Friday's super lather was quite educational for me in what consistency I should look for from a soap. The Musgo soap smelt great and the lather performed very well. The 30mm Yaqi is a lather monster. Is its size unnecessary? Probably, but it's great fun to use.

A pleasant shave overall but I'm underwhelmed by the Superspeed. I know there's a lot of love for these but I prefer my Tech and Fatboy. I can't see this razor being a regular in my rotation.

Smooth, close shave this morning with the Ikon and a fresh Feather blade. The lather from the TFS soap was rich and plentiful thanks to the effortless Razorock synthetic brush. Such a good all round shave topped off with the wonderful aroma of Bleu.

Shave Of The Day. 29th April

Prep ~ Shower, Aleppo soap 50%
Razor ~ Philite Bakelite
Blade ~ Polsilver - Lodz Poland
Soap ~ La Savonniere du Moulin
Brush ~ SOC 2012 SE Badger & Boar
Post ~ Barts - Lavender Aftershave lotion
Scent ~ Guerlain - Jicky Parfum

A lovely shave with the best bakelite razor I have ever used. The Philite when paired with my favourite razor blade, the Lodz Polsilver was very efficient and also very smooth, leaving me with a super clean finnish. The soap is top draw, it produced a thick creamy lather that had plenty of cushion and glide.
The Semogue Badger & Boar brush is fabulous, it just is.....:)

Wishing you all a very nice day whatever you may be doing......P.
