Same phenomenal results today with the BIC/R41. Most people seem to dislike the BCP but at ten cents a blade I'm buying more. Now to go full on Andy Rooney, did ya ever notice how poorly the R41 disperses lather? It's the cloggiest razor I've ever used by a mile. I took it apart twice to clean the blade. Look at the design of this thing, lather channels where are you? What's with the fake comb?Traveling just with the R41 for a few days, now in Siem Reap. The only blades I've seen in Cambodia are the BIC Chrome Platinum, two tucks for a dollar. First head shave with the BIC was marvelous, better than first shaves with the Personnas and Astra in this razor for sure.

Prep: Shower and Bulldog Face wash
Blade: Astra SP #1
Wolfman Guerrilla: Pass around loan
Brush: Maseto Finest 30mm
Soap: T&H 1805
EDT: Issey Myake
This evening was the first time using this razor. What a beauty she is @Blademonkey . A lovely 3 pass shave without any hassle. The weight of the handle done all the work for me. No pressure no burns, Lovely. If I had any concerns then it would be the loading of the blade and perhaps the handle is a little slippery but aside from that this razor really is super smooth. (Full review to follow.) BBS and a delight to use.
The soap as always worked its magic. I really do love T&H soaps. The cushion, scent and glide is sublime.
I have both the silvertip and the Finest Maseto 30mm brush and if I had to choose one then it would be the finest. More backbone and the same softness as the silvertip. YMMV.
Finishing with a good dose of Issey Myake which matches wonderfully with the 1805 and I am good to go.
Enjoy your shaves,
Wayne

Wedding anniversary shave (36 years)
Body shop synthetic
P&B Vegan trial soap
Gillette Guard #6
Tabac A/S
Lacura body moisturiser
Al Rehab - Al Fares EDP
Still at our holiday retreat, the Gillette Guard is performing admirably.
As the P&B trial soap was unscented I experimented by adding a few squirts of Al Rehab - Al Fares EDP to the lathered soap in the bowl. It produced a wonderfully scented lather which resulted in a lovely smooth shave.
