The Open Comb Thing Has Came Up Many Times...An Open Comb Razor Isn't Necessary any More Aggressive than a Closed Comb..The Most Aggressive Safety Razors I have Ever Owned are Mostly Closed Combs..Its the Blade Exposure that Determines the Aggressiveness of a Razor..Forums Can Hype them to be Something they are Not..

Look forward to hearing about your experience with this razorCould not wait for Paul this time (though bought my Baskerville from him so all good) but have bought a 24c for £18 from Blades4U on ebay with free shipping. I will leave some feedback here once I have used it.
Too true. I have a Parker 26R, which at first glance looks like a Muhle 41, but is as mild as milk. On the other hand, CC Wardonias are much more aggressive, and the modern Shavecraft Tech will skin you alive if you use any blade that's vaguely sharp.
Bakelites. Is that the metal Wardonia you mean or. the bakelites.?
I agree. I've found the Wardonia bakelite models (and the metal model aswell) works best for me with gentler Carbon steel blades - Treet etc, tho' they seem an unpopular blade. It sortof makes sense, as all the blades from that era were made from CS.Bakelites.
