Here are my top 5:

At the moment:

1. Simpsons Duke 3 in Best
2. NF Tubby 2
3. NF 1901
4. NF Tubby 1 Tigris Perla
5. Semogue 620

This may change as I have a Frank Shaving Pur-Tech synthetic and a Whipped Dog 30mm Silvertip on the way. Could quite easily use the Duke 3 all the time, as it is magnificent, but I like variety.

I don't have a brush made by any of the makers in Jamie's top five, funnily enough. My top five are probably all biggish Rod Neep productions, much as I like my Simpsons and New Forests.

Even though I posess a couple of dozen de razors I've never felt the urge to own more than two high class brushes. My fave brush is my NF Stubby closely followed by my FS 28mm silvertip. Both exceptional brushes.

I only have 3 brushes that i use

1) Neep Stone 26mm (x48mm) Extra Silver Tip
2) Simpson Duke 2 Best
3) Semogue Owners Club Boar (currently breaking in)

All 3 are great for face lathering. I'll probably by a 2-band SOC or M&F at some point this year.

I also have one of those NOS Fred Dickinson & Gilroys Boar brushes and a useless Edwin Jagger black badger.

It's time for an update. In no real order:

Apologies for the shocking picture. My phone camera doesn't really do these justice!

Only having 4 brushes in my rotation, here are my top 3:

- Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger
- TGN 2-band badger in a Vulfix Grosvenor handle
- Shavemac 177 Silvertip

I'm so impressed with the M&F I'm thinking of ordering an L7 from him.

That Rooney Victorian handle is one of the bonniest I've ever seen! More pictures to satisfy the inner beast, please.

I've sold quite a few of my brushes and I only have 4 in my rotation at this moment in time and I'm pretty much happy with this number and more important how they perform, I'll put them in order of preference but a special mention must go to the Simpsons P8 I find this one my very all time favourite brushes pretty outstanding all round performer and for a brush that cost around £60 quite incredible and I would choose it over my Rooney Heritage of my Morris & Forndran L7.
