I know that you've all been waiting for a review! Came in the mail fresh from Turkey yesterday. Used for the first time today.
To give it a real workout I tried it with a two day growth and a Straight Edge.
Lather: sliced off a piece and pressed it into my bowl.
Brush: Boar. Lather developed right away. Easily done. Nice head.
Razor: straight edge
How did work?: it wasn't bad! Nice lather, good staying power, ok cushion, nice slide.
Fragrance: here's where it stands out. Used it 4hrs ago and I can still smell it. Nice Manly scent. Yes, kind of like the disinfectant in the men's rooms at a country fair. Manly.
Blades, Razors, Shave Cream, now Stick. Hopefully an aftershave next!

Yeah, Johnus has such a way with words that he makes it tough to resist his Turkish siren's song.l Heh, his description of the "Manly" bathroom scent.........magnificent!!!

So I guess this is best used with a Derby blade and Derby cream, mixed into a superlather of wonderfulness. Ohhh, I have the perfect razor for this set up.......a Gillette 1904 of course. Yep, something with lots of bite.
