Wool Fat Soap

Guys,

I went to Chatsworth at the weekend and purchased a puck of Chatsworth Wool Fat soap. It was £2. I have grated it and put it into a container and intend to use as a shaving soap.

My question...would it be different to a wool fat shaving soap?

If it is not, then £2 a bargain!

I have tried a lather and it seemed good, just not tried it on a shave but intend to tomorrow

It probably wont work as well as a soap intended for shaving.

I tried lathering Mitchells Wool Fat bath soap yesterday and although you can get a thick lather, it disappears quickly and offers very little of the cushioning that the shaving soap does. Horses for courses.

I got round to trying it as well and like you and found the lather really disappointing. Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained!
