A British winner of the men's singles is one of the few remaining things I want to see before I go, along with a win in Le Tour.

And now, although still long odds, both may be achieved.

With London 2012 on the horizon - what a year.

It was a good game today, I thought he played quite well. I couldn't watch it all though as I had to take a detour out of the office to go and see the Olympic Torch passing through.
I don't really think he has much chance against Federer though, he's in a class of his own, but we can hope.

I think Murray had his chances... Second set should have been his, but he snatched at it a couple of times when he had a chance to break. No shame in that though - the pressure he was under was immense and that was coupled with the fact that the bloke opposite is pretty much accepted as the greatest player ever.

Don't mind admitting I was a bit choked watching his interview at the end. It was very clear how much he wanted to win and what it meant.

Well done RF though - great champion.
