Apparently, 2 hours is actually 3 hours and 9 pints in "Irish Grandad speak".
 
Having watched the Big Lebowski the other night, I decided to try making my own White Russian. So, after a trip to the local supermarket to get ingredients I've had a bash at it. The cocktail I have in my hand:

300ml glass filled with ice,
20ml Tia Maria,
35(ish)ml of Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka,
A sprinkling of drinking chocolate,
Finished off with half single cream and half milk.

It tastes super, I definitely recommend it; this is a drink that the dude would give up his best bowling ball for!

I can only have one drink tonight though, I've an early start in the morning :icon_sad:

White Russians are probably my favourite cocktail.

Me and the 'Colonel' were drinking them in Marco Pierre White's restaurant/casino in Nottingham a few months ago.

For some reason the bar staff kept chucking a blackberry in them. Not sure if that's in a new fancy recipe or they just had a load of them to shift.
 
In the end I decided to have a second!

I made it without adding the drinking chocolate, however it didn't taste just as good without it. So, next time you order make sure they add a sprinkle of chocolate!

I might try adding blackberries next time, maybe sliced strawberry even, I think I'll experiment a bit...

I wasn't a massive fan of Ledaig. It's supposed to be a peated Tobermory, but I couldn't taste much peat or Tobermory in there.
Still, it's the price of a blend, and you are getting a decent single, so you can't complain.
I've been drinking a nice "old fashioned" - whisky (black bush) with red vermouth and angostora bitters. It's the only way of ruining whisky that I can live with :)
