whilst thinking about a new watch it occurred to me that there have been a few posts here from watch enthusiasts about certain watch forums but I'm not sure which one to register with especially if looking to buy used or vintage high end pieces

Anyone recommend the best group for reviews and trusted BSTs?

TZ-UK is a pretty good forum, and not just for watches. In fact it is one of my favourite forums on t'internet. The one caveat is that you need to make a fair amount of posts before you can use the sales section. http://forum.tz-uk.com/forum.php

That really is a good joint they run over there and years ago I spent a little time getting the feel of the place. Whew, now I rarely ever look at watches but back in the day I liked em!

Sheesh, I saw a post on that site by Michael Hamm back in late 2005 or so. Something about the Zen of shaving, which was a great hook and led me to his blog. An old time Enabler of fine shaving crap.
