I wouldn't mind using/owning a razor that was made in my birth year. Is there a system that can date when a razor was made? Serial numbers? Year of manufacture numbers?

Gillette use a date code on their razors. When is your birthday?

Unfortunately however, English made Gillette razors (apart from a few late models like the Knack) do not carry date codes

Don't forget the number after the letter indicates the quater of the year

I have a boxed slim and a mint boxed twist both are dated M1 which is January to March 1967 nice having a razor the same age as myself

I started with a 34C and DE89 both great razors (still occasionally use) but got hooked on Gillette vintage. Have about 25 so far. Oldest is a 04 Double Ring and newest is a 74 Super Speed. Also have a decent collection of Rockets. My current passion.

I have many vintage Gillette razors for sale all in excellent to Mint Condition the only problem is I'm here in the states
