Ultrasonic Cleaning of Brushes?

Certainly understand those that have good procedures in place to clean their brushs would wonder why try anything different. However, sometimes you just want to try something different :) Today I tried my Omega 10218 brush and got a fantastic later and a great shave. Was it because of the ultrasonic cleaning ... I haven't the foggiest idea! Perhaps everyone has a good shave after a total eclipse. Be interesting to see if any of you have similar results.

It could encourage the boar hairs to split & break the brush in quicker/more fully.

I don't think I'd do it with any of my badger brushes for that reason

Was wondering if that was why my Omega brush seemed so much better today. Recently got a 10098 boar and next time I have the ultrasonic out I may do about the first inch of the bristles in it for about 5 minutes and see if it seems to be better for it.
