As noted on a couple of other forums, I tried a new razor with an untried blade (Feather) both for the first time last night, which may have been pushing limits.
All in all, one nick on the chin, from a moment of inattention, but otherwise an absolutely extraordinary DE shave. No roughage in the hollows of the neck, or underside of the chin, and just a bit of texture this morning(now, 12 hours later), with a WTG/ATG/Right-to-Left neck 2.5 pass shave.
Like driving a fine auto, you provide light direction, it responds with authority. With reports of a CC and slant head in the works...yeah, I'm in razor heaven!:sleepy:
Edit: my baseline "gold-standard" is a Wilkinson Sword Strong Beard, and my best shaves overall, are SE. The Tradere was right in there, and I suspect developing a feel for this significantly heavier razor, and possibly a different blade will have it easily the measure of any of my vintage SEs. (DearLord! What am I saying?!?!?)
