Tobs after shave gel?

I added the Tobs after shave gel sandalwood into my collection and have to admit it smells more than great. I am impressed !!

My question is how are as gels used?

Do you rinse with cold water after the shave, pump with a towel and then Apply the gel, or use it after an asp as a moisturizing ?

Until Now I would rinse use alum block, ask and then balm or moisturizing cream for the dryness of the skin.

I use Mr Taylor's aftershave balm, which is a gel. I don't know if it's the same as the sandalwood.

I shave, wash off the soap with warm water, and then splash my face with cold water, and while my hand and face are still wet I put on the gel and let it dry in. Sometimes I'll use alum first, but I need to properly wash off any residue or it reacts with the balm, sometimes I use aftershave splash after the balm has settled in and my skin is smooth - I don't know that it's in any way necessary, I just want to!
