Thread start date

Is it possible to see the date a thread was started next to the thread title, both in the individual forums and in the search results? At the moment it only shows the date the last post was made to a thread.

It tells you when the each post was made within the thread. I can't see the purpose of having the date of the first post anywhere else.

I just found it useful to see at a glance when a thread originated without having to open them individually, especially when searching. There's a few times I've been searching for a thread were I knew roughly when it began and thought it would speed up the process. But it's not a big problem, I'll just go the long way around.

I agree with James, it is something I actually looked for its existence a couple of times as well. I'd also like to spot relatively fast whether a thread is old enough or not; but as said earlier on it's not imperative that it needs to be there, there's certainly a way round it.
